Climate Change Adaptation and Social Sustainability, the Human Side of Climate Change

It is common when discussing combating climate change and the actions that must be taken, that individuals are seen as one of the main actors in taking action, changing behaviours and ways of consuming and living in order to tackle the current emergency. However, to a lesser extent, people are taken into account, especially from underrepresented and vulnerable communities, as one of the main stakeholders affected by climate change. To be truly just, it is critical that climate change adaptation strategies are not solely about western world compliance or business continuity but should also put people and the planet at the centre of the solution. By attending, participants can expect to gain valuable insights, build a strong network, and learn practical solutions to implement climate adaptation strategies.

We’ll specifically discuss:
